WHAT TO EXPECT ON RACE MORNING by Matt Evans
Are you new to the sport of triathlon and have a few questions? Do you want to have an idea of what to expect on race morning? Do you need to know if it is okay to wear your purple top with your pink suit? This free triathlon seminar will run through the basics of doing the Eau Claire Triathlon, preview the transitions, and answer any questions you may have. Matt Evans has been competing in triathlons for over 30 years.
After the seminars (approx. 9am) there will be an opportunity to swim in Half Moon Lake followed by a short jog.
Saturday Evening June 6th, 6:30pm at Half Moon Beach
WHAT TO EXPECT ON RACE MORNING - A repeat of the previous seminar, showing the race venue layout.
On June 7, 2015 Eau Claire will host its sixth annual sprint distance triathlon. Over the past five years, beginners and veteran triathletes alike have used our race as a great way to get their summers started with a bang! Competitors have the opportunity to compete individually or as part of a team. The race course includes a swim in Halfmoon Lake, a bike ride through the rolling hills of western Wisconsin countryside, and a run through historic Carson Park. Sign up early, limited entries are available!
The Eau Claire Triathlon is once again pleased to welcome our young competitors for the second annual kids triathlon on Saturday, June 6, 2015. Kids ages 7-14 are invited to compete individually or as teams in a swim at Halfmoon Beach, bike through Carson Park, and run along the Chippewa Valley State Trail. Participate race weekend as a family and kick start a memorable summer of fun, physical, family activity!
We want the Eau Claire Triathlon to be a first class event, that inspires people to become physically active, and most importantly, raise money to support organizations whose missions we believe in. Over the past five years, all of our proceeds have been donated to Friends of the Orphans, the Chippewa Valley Free Clinic and the B-Side Community. Thanks to the support of our sponsors and participants, we've had the privilege of donating over $40,000 to these worthy causes.
